In June of 2012, we opened the doors with a goal of providing customers with the two essential ingredients for a successful restaurant, great food and great service. We created a Southern-inspired menu and decided to source as much food as we could locally, hence the name Local Dish. Occupying space in a hundred-year-old building on Main Street in the heart of Fort Mill, SC helped add to the feel of a down-home farm-to-table restaurant.
Being the only restaurant at the time in what most considered a forgotten, sleepy part of town, there was a good bit of trepidation for our first venture into ownership. But with 25 combined years of experience working in the industry, we figured we’d make a go of it. We are happy to say that we’ve been joined by other restaurants and businesses over the years helping to reawaken downtown Fort Mill.
With a strong commitment to continue serving high-quality food in a casual atmosphere, we hope to get a chance to serve y’all soon.
